positive Parenting support and education

Parenting is one of the most meaningful—and challenging—roles we take on. Even loving, devoted parents can feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to respond when behaviors escalate or family life feels out of balance. You don’t have to figure it out alone.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist trained in Triple P – Positive Parenting Program, I work with parents and families to build calm, confident, and connected homes using evidence-based strategies that actually work in real life.

What Is Triple P – Positive Parenting?

If your child has been experiencing emotional or behavioral problems at school or in the home, I understand how concerning this can be.   I work closely with parents to develop individualized Positive Parenting plans that address concerns such as ADHD/ADD, anxiety, anger outbursts, tantrums, not listening, bed wetting, hitting, biting, and bullying.

Triple P is a globally recognized, research-based parenting approach that helps parents:

  • Reduce challenging behaviors

  • Strengthen the parent-child relationship

  • Increase confidence and consistency

  • Create routines that support emotional regulation and cooperation

  • Respond to stress with clarity instead of reactivity

The focus is not on “perfect parenting,” but on practical tools, realistic expectations, and strengthening what’s already working in your family.

How I Work With Families

I offer one-on-one parenting sessions tailored to your family’s unique needs. Sessions may take place:

  • In your home, where challenges often occur and support can be immediately applied

  • In my office, for a more structured, reflective setting

 Together, we will:

  • Identify specific behavior concerns and stress points

  • Understand what drives your child’s behavior

  • Develop clear, effective parenting strategies you can use right away

  • Build consistency between caregivers

  • Support emotional regulation for both children and parents

This work is collaborative, respectful, and non-judgmental. My role is to support you—not to criticize or tell you how you “should” be parenting.

Who This Is For

Positive Parenting sessions are helpful for families who are experiencing:

  • Frequent power struggles or defiance

  • Emotional outbursts or difficulty with regulation

  • Parenting stress, burnout, or uncertainty

  • Transitions such as separation, divorce, or blended family dynamics

  • A desire to be more intentional, calm, and connected as parents

A Therapeutic + Practical Approach

Because I am both a licensed therapist and a Triple P-trained parenting provider, I’m able to address not only behavior—but the emotional, relational, and nervous-system dynamics underneath it. This allows for deeper, longer-lasting change for the entire family.

If you’re looking for support that is compassionate, evidence-based, and tailored to your real life, Positive Parenting sessions may be a strong fit.
